OUR PROCESS
The Fortune GRC
Glassfibre reinforced concrete, GRC / GFRC is one of the most popular materials used for creative prefabricated architectural cladding.
Since its introduction in the 1960's, GRC today has been modified and evolved depending upon his performance requirements, a range of matrix modifiers such as acrylic polymers, rapid set cements and additives to improve the long-term stability of the material. The Alkali Resistant glass fibre is generally used at the 2-5% level in the manufacture of factory finished prefabricated products either by the spray process or using traditional concrete casting methods.
Pattern / mold
Patterns and mold are fabricated with gypsum, ply, GRP and PU rubber to represent the complex design and requirements of the clients.
Mixing
Depending on GRC/GFRC Ingrediants like cement, fine aggregate, plasticiser, polymer &water in percentages and mixed in the mixing station.
Skin Spray
Thus sprayed premix is sprayed on to the surface of mold to for the required surface finish.
Structure build / reinforcement
With sprayed premix, the fibre is added to the matrix during the mixing process and the mixed fibre and matrix are pumped to a spray gun and sprayed onto the mould.
Acid Wash
In requirement of a textured surface ,the GRC surface is subjected to acid etching ,followed by water wash.
Finish & Loading
Complex shapes are fabricated to suite the site requirements , and loaded for dispatch.
